Moroccanoil Boar Bristle Brush Collection Review

I can count on my hand how many times I’ve teased my hair, it’s simply not a common thing for me to do since I often have too much volume. I would imagine this to be a better alternative to plastic combs with tiny, thinly spaced out teeth – those are best suited for smoothing out the hair for the various hairstyles.

However, the Classic brush is one I have reached for.

The Classic brush is a standard paddle shape. I’m not a fan of heat styling with a blow dryer – I’m more of a hot roller, flat and curling iron type of girl. Nonetheless, all of those hair tools require knotless and smooth out hair – which can be done with this brush.

Here’s a tip – on second-day hair, I like to flip my head upside down and brush the hair close to the nape of my neck down to my ends. I also do this starting from the hair behind my ears. These are the two places I experience the most excess in hair oils.

Boar bristles are known to be easier on the hair, inclusive, they help distribute oils from the scalp down the shaft of the hair. What exactly does this mean? Well, expect shinier, smoother and healthier looking hair when you use one of these for your next blow out.

Since these are luxury products, they come at a heftier price tag. Bear in mind that these are investment tools. Hairdressers commonly alternate between synthetic and natural bristles to achieve perfect salon hair.

Prices in CND:

  • Boar Bristle Round Brushes MRSP: $72.00/25mm, $84.00/35mm, $84.00/45mm
  • Boar Bristle Classic Brush MSRP: $72.00
  • Boar Bristle Teasing Brush MSRP: $36.00
